Not enough in game 7 to make it to the ECF.
A little surprised the reason is our missing defense in this game. I thought it will be our offense who would be not there.
We shot 56% but that was pretty much it. Lost the rebound battle, didn't get to the line as often and had no chance to stop SJJ and Murray.
Still we showed fight and it was a great series against the Pistons. Well played Jon!!

Good luck going forward, I for one can't wait to see AD going against SJJ. That should be something.

Congrats to the other 3 conference finals teams. 3 7game series are entertaining!

ATL - DET 110:122

Johnson - 42pt (17/28), 14reb, 1blk
Murray - 35pt (13/19), 3ass, 2stl

Young - 20pt (9/15), 6reb, 1blk
McGary - 20pt (9/11), 2reb, 1stl

Well I still feel a little shafted since I wanted to go up against a fully healthy Hawks team and to be honest they probably would have taken this game if fully healthy, but this is the world we live in.

SJJ and Murray go all out though in this game 7 (I'd love to see if there is any boost to certain players in Game 7s) and carry us to the next round. SJJ has just been on a whole other level in these playoffs and if he gets hurt we won't win a single game. THe big late trade piece Jo-Lual Acuil stepped into the starting role with Bam out with a broken leg and he didn't play great, but he took a nice back seat to allow SJJ to do his thing.

Great series Andre and you will be a fixture in the playoffs for a long time with that team!

Onto the Bulls where we have a broken legged Bam and our team MVP in Kaiser Gates is now hampered for the next 4 days which isn't going to be good. I expect to split these first two home games at best, but its going to take another herioc effort by SJJ to get through this team.

Son of a bitch. Congrats Spurs and other conference finalists. Maybe I should have stayed inactive, we were cruising.

I'm sure it was rigged though, admin team didn't want to see me in the conference finals after being MIA. That's not a good look, I get it. 8-)

Wow I did not know there were 3 Game 7's. That's incredible! Suns v Spurs and Bulls v Pistons. Some real good matchups, both from a CSL and historic NBA perspective. Best of luck to all

Game 7: Portland Trailblazers - 86, Phoenix Suns - 118

PHX
Taylor - 24 pts (12-18 FGs)
Curry - 21 pts (8-10 FGs, 5-7 3PAs), 4 asts (1 TO), 3 rebs
Austin - 16 pts (7-11 FGs), 5 rebs, 2 stls, 2 blks

POR
Ingles - 24 pts (6-15 3PAs), 5 rebs
Leuer - 11 pts, 15 rebs, 5 asts
Smart - 14 pts (6-10 FGs), 4 rebs, 3 asts

We finished off the comeback due in large part to having HCA. We've been near unstoppable at home this year and that continued in this one, so Portland stealing game 1 form us really put us on our heels the rest of the series. We struggled all series to try to get HCA back and finally did it with our backs against the wall in game 6.

As for this game, we had a very strong showing (saved our best for game 7), but it just appears to be one of those games where everything just seemed to go in for us. I'm thankful for it, but it's not indicative of this series at all. Fantastic series by Rouse and the Blazers. They're already a scary team, so with an off-season to tinker with their roster, they're certainly going to be one of the favorites next year (and deservedly so).

Some GMs wrote us off for dead after our rough start to the series (you know who you are), but our dream to try to win a B2B is still alive! Onto the CF for a date with the Spurs!
