Wtf is tim doing. And he wonders why he is stuck in perpetual irrelevance. I'm not a Musa fan but he essentially just traded the 4th pick for a declining player that wont lead you out of a top 3 pick. Crazy

Musa shouldve been a late lotto pick, but still lillard isnt worth a late lotto pick. I had Lillard on the market at age 30 the offers were very weak, he's 32 now so just getting a 1st will be tough.

Memphis or so should offer a crap first for lillard (Detroit). A bunch of early seconds would work too imo. Makes sense for them and is equal to Lillards value. Super bad trade by lakers anyway (nuggolesk Level), but there’s a reason they are the worst franchise in csl history. Would be interested to see if a guy like Brett could bring them back to glory in one or two seasons.

I hate hezonja, but dylan should also be equally thankful there was Tim ton save him from taking on lillard.

I'm still curious if tim was high, drunk, both maybe? Tim normally doesnt make deals that bad

AD and Milos to Chicago? Yup, Marcos is back! Not sure I like these deals for the Lakers or the Wizards but think it’s an easy win for Chicago, a good financial move for LAC and a decent/unspectacular return for NOP.

What a horrible return for AD and Milos. Marcos making moves as always. Especially disappointing to see the Pelicans settle. Moving him before the draft would have been the best play.

Whew. Thought long and hard about reaching out with a Donovan Mitchell Derrick Favors Nuggets 1st for Anthony Davis talks but was iffy on it and probably would've switched DEN to OKC 1st.

Glad I didn't because that was an overpay either way compared to what Davis actually fetched.

Not horrible getting Lillard & Lauri for AD but far from the "CP3 haul" he was looking for.

And  he Lakers backsliding outta that Dame deal getting Payne

Yeah gotta agree with this. Great haul by Chicago and they are back in the East. Shame I think a few GMs cheaped out in getting AD which probably meant Marcus rushed a deal here, just not sure how this makes much sense for the Pelicans at all.

But will.be great to watch Chicago in the east now.

The Lakers getting Payne instead of Lillard is solid enough and he fits the timeline a bit better.

Hard to rush into a deal if they didn't "have to" trade him. Not like he gave the team an ultimatum lol

As far as CHI being back, how so?

Kawhi AD Milos may not even work. Milos high SCR and usage rating may clash with Davis' but could be interesting to see Marcos figure it out.

Also still  at the Lakers having a moment of clarity rescinding that deal on the basis of "Oh I thought I could trade him again before the deadline uhhh no thanks"

That’s pretty much exactly what happened. These deals were figured out like Thursday night, but Marcus wanted to shop AD over the weekend. People got cute and didn’t step up, and there was a deadline by tonight or they couldn’t go through due to four team getting processed.

Saying he rushed it because I think top guys like this get a better haul at draft time as guys have more assets to play with usually as picks are back available etc. Personally I would of waited as Drumr said.

Milos AD and Kawhi is a solid trio but the Bulls also kept some of their bench intact too and most importantly their ability to shoot from outside which is key with a guy like AD so teams can't zone. I think they are back because AD and Milos are better than Lillard and Lauri in my opinion.

I don’t think he reached out to many GMs if at all. Wouldn’t have minded sending skal, Gordon, Cleveland & cha first plus Gbinije. But I think Marcus has still a lot to learn. His flip flopping (trading pick, now ad) reminds me of Tim. And we have seen how that ends. Worst franchise in history of the csl.

Agree with above.

Will be interesting to see how far Chicago can climb up in the standings and how the playoff bracket shakes out.
With Smith out for Miami it is wide open I guess.
