Same deal for Denver and New Orleans. GSW included and changes something for us as well.

Ok, we agree

Sending Jordan, Brice, Dotson, Guler and two second rounders for Payne, WCS and Allen.
Really loved what DAJ gave us during his lone season here, but WCS at only 28 and being one of the best players around the league in generating defensive stats is a better option moving forward. I am, however, skeptical of his ability to rebound the basketball, therefore went after Allen. Our scouts indicates he’ll come into the league as a good 3rd big already with a skillset that fits Lauri better than Brice, and hopefully he'll be good enough to challenge WCS for a starting 5 spot.
As for the Guler for Payne (essentially) deal, it allows us to create more space by not absorbing the expiring deals of Teague and Plumlee, who wouldn't be used here but can provide important depth to GSW, and we're also trading a more offensive minded player for a better defensive / shooting option. There's a huge gap of 9M in their salaries which hurts, indeed, but here's hope that moving Payne away from Harden / KD will allow him to shine a little bit more offensively while adding someone that can apply some ball pressure for us when needed.
It goes away from one of our biggest weaknesses in taking care of the ball as Güler proved at his rookie season to be one of the top playmakers around the league with an impressive A/TO ratio for a team that lacked shot creation. It's extremely risky as their level of talent is equal (one better offensively, another one better defensively) and they are both pretty complete PGs. But I'm trying to find the best possible fit around Lauri and Payne, IMO, brings us that. I'm assuming the risk and if it fails or the salary comes back to haunt us, I'm prepared to take the blame.

Golden State agrees.

I hate to send Payne packing but I’m in win now mode and need some players who can contribute.

Guler gives us a much cheaper Payne with less D and more passing. With Harden and KD, passing is key for me. Teague gives me a legitimate backup for Guler and adding Plumlee gives me a much needed post player that can board.

I do not own my 1st next season so this is a move to push for the playoffs this season.

Golden State agrees.
Guler - Teague
Harden - Quarterman
Bird - Quarterman
Durant - Zimmerman
Favors - Plumlee

Denver accepts. I really like WCS and I know that I’m taking a slight step backwards here. There were a few things at play for me. For one, we struggled with rebounding all season long, and with DAJ and Stokes now, I know we will control the boards for at least a season. Secondly, we weren’t going to be able to pay both WCS and Boban moving forward, and while I like WCS better, I think Boban is the right choice long term. DAJ is on a one year deal, which lines up with our other big contracts (Wall, Wright), giving us a great opportunity to sit down and really determine what direction to take our team. In a vacuum, I would rather have WCS than DAJ, but looking at all the factors, DAJ is the right fit for our team and the right fit financially.

I didn’t have much information on the draft as I dropped the ball on scouting. I was looking at drafting Jarrett Allen but due to lack of more information on him, I took the sure bet in getting two roles players that I can use this year.
