Great listen guys!

My votes for COTY:
1. Thunder (emplep7)
2. Bulls (rhoxxy)
3. T-Wolves (AlexS)

GMOTY:
1. Rockets (kw)
2. Jazz (stockton12)
3. tie between Mavs and Knicks cuz it's dope that they swapped the two MVP favorites

I think Jon runs away with COTY for immediately turning the Thunder into a 50-win team without making a single trade.

IMO Kyrus deserves GMOTY for completely revamping the Rockets core in a way that makes them better now + sets them up more longterm success.

Without Simmons, the East is wide open! I think Kings make it out of the west, again. But I wouldn't sleep on the Warriors, Thunder, or Rockets.

Excellent points all around. These are the 2 awards I'm really going to struggle with this year because I just don't have the same point of reference as the rest of the league wrt where teams were at the start of the season vs. where they finished.

Listening to this right now, thanks for the compliments guys.

I’d say I’d have:

Coach of the year
1. Warriors
2. 76ers
3. Bulls

GM of the year
1. Spurs
2. Jazz
3. Rockets

Overall when you don’t have a clear option for either it means there was a good balance in the league. It reflexes on the playoffs where all the 8 remaining teams can really win the ring. It wouldn’t be absurd for any of the remaining ones to make the finals or go the distance. I love this, particularly, love when there are multiple teams close to winning it all, shows other teams the league is wide open and the gap between top and mid teams isn’t that big.
