Just finished, this conference is the most stacked in league history. There about 12 very deserving teams that would easily be a top 6 team out West and 3 other okay ones who could challenge for the 8-10 seed in the West. This conference makes a very good case for 1-16 ranked playoffs actually.

My standings look very similar to Marcus' at the top, and then totally different after that:

1) Celtics
2) Heat
3) Pistons
4) Pacers
5) Hornets
6) Knicks
7) Hawks
8) Cavs
-
9) Bulls
10) Sixers
11) Raptors
12) Nets
13) Bucks
14) Wizards
15) Magic

It feels crazy to keep the Bulls and Sixers out of it, but really I think 4-11 are all basically on the same level and it's going to come down to who is most proactive with their team, changing ball actions, strategy, and setting matchups on a daily basis. I know the other teams around them will, and a rookie GM is simply at an inherent disadvantage right now in my opinion. Nothing against the teams that missed out, I just think knowing how to utilize talent is almost as important as the talent itself when you're talking about teams in this range.

And my top 5 rookies to watch are Zion, Luka, Ja, Rui, and Little.

Didnt listen yet, but will on the weekend. But boy, stop pressuring. We couldnt even win much in preseason only playing our top5. Could be Im a too bad coach, but so far there are superior teams talentwise, so not sure we will be able to be at the top. Im hoping to win the Atlantic for a top4 spot though.

Interesting takes. Indiana had the closest ranking to what I pictured in my head. Obviously I probably disagree with Marcus the most and will hopefully enjoy referring back to this as apparently my team will suck just by virtue of being 30 lol.

When running the defense I plan on playing we held teams to 88 points per game and allow the least amount of 3s in a league where post play is dead. Hopefully all of this lineup data remains valuable when the games start to count and I can't wait to use the defensive matchup option more.

Boston and Miami should be at the top, but a lot of this season is going to depend on learning curve. 6-10 will be a dogfight, but I'm hoping defense wins out for me.

Good job, nice podcast.
Man the East is just crazy, hope we can stay in the playoff hunt.

I still have Chicago, Boston and Miami as my top 3 and agree with the Pistons belonging in this group or are very close.
After that it will take some luck to make it into the playoffs.

Exum seems to have lost some efficiency, but the team is definitely much better with him on the court. We will try to find the mixture of right players beside him and go for it.

I listened to this while working, so have to admit my attention may not have been 100% (to the podcast and to work... lol)

The East seems strong and it's hard to predict based on preseason results. Can't argue with the ROTY either. I can't believe how poorly Jontay shot. That's pretty scary over nearly 30 games.

Entire rookieclass shot super bad. Beste player was 42% as far as I know. I think this class in general is beyond horrible shooting wise. WOuldnt be suprised if like 90% doesnt make it past their rookie contracts. And even Zion will have a hard time as he's really bad efficiencywise.

I dont think the heat will make the playoffs this season. Situation plays a big role in how good a player was in DDS3 so if your players were in bad situations thye will be adjusted negatively in DDS19.

Just had a chance to listen and this was a great podcast!

The EC is definitely stacked this year and with the new engine as another variable its going to make for a dog fight all year. I personally don't think we will win our division this year as that Chicago team is really good and Indy looked unstoppable in the Preseason so we will see how the regular season shakes out, but I appreciate the positive thinking for our team.

Great job yet again guys and I'll have to give the WC one a listen next!

Another great job. Is easy to have on in the background when working that's for sure.

Tough, tough conference. I'm really unsure on Miami at the moment so I have Boston and Detroit on top. After that, who the hell knows, lol. It's close for all those all the way down to the 11th/12th seed. Boston look the top here but I've never had reservations about them being a great regular season team, just what they do when it counts.
