Podcasts! 2033 season previews!

Post by TheTwoWallaces »

Had some downtime so figured I'd give the lads some content in the form of a semi-coherent ramble that is this season preview. Hope you guys enjoy 35 minutes of terrible takes and misreadings of your franchises.

Western Conference preview: https://streamyard.com/rrt4rh62e3zj

Eastern Conference preview: https://streamyard.com/pxvgkpwpxqqh

Curious to hear your takes!

Love it, great job Lucas and I agree the west is pretty wide open this year with no clear favorite outside of the blazers.

As for us, I appreciate the love but agree our roster construction is kind of a mess and imbalanced so we will need trades or it might be an ugly year. This year is dedicated to making Harper as efficient as possible though.

Excited to listen to the eastern preview!

Listened to the whole WC (will listen to the EC tomorrow probably) and think you're pretty spot on with the conference Outlook. The Pacific is a division of one for this year. The Southwest is the most interesting and also the hardest to predict. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see all 5 to make the playoffs. I'm the Northwest, I'll have my hands full with Minny and Denver if Brett has a little more time to dedicate to the CSL this year. Excited to see what Phil can do with Utah after their strong off-season. If Phil can figure out his new squad sooner than later, they could make a push to avoid the play in. There's definitely talent in OKC, but I don't think Jon is going to rush the rebuild. It appears he's going to experiment and focus on his young guys, which is the right move imo.

As for us, we've mostly run it back like you mentioned apart from swapping out Hali for Christ. We're deeper than anticipated in the front court, but I think Christ provides an upgrade there and should hopefully fit in really well next to OO. Also, GG is forcing his way into my rotation. I'm expecting him to burst onto the scene this year.

Really love that you did these podcasts. Great listens on my commute. I miss doing these. I'd love to add more if I can find some time later in the summer. These are great for the CSL.

Great stuff Lucas! Pacific division is definitely sad and Sacramento is loving life lol. Pretty spot on with us.. that we are just in a bad situation overall.

Solid WC listen. And yes, serious parity in the West with a slugfest between 10 teams and the Kings with legitimate playoff aspirations. I think the Lakers could potentially surprise too

yeah i think you kinda nailed the Rockets part, we'll keep shifting pieces around till we can finally get the second round monkey off our backs lol. already have a fun day 30 acquisition coming down the pipeline

(to answer your question, Gates, Knight, and Duval were promised a WCF trip when I re-signed them. And we of course got obliterated by Portland in the second round, and all three of those guys being grouchy this year as a result.

The best way to start looking into CSL in the morning, listen to your cast with a fresh coffee :-)

Very good take on the Western conference. Wide open and hard to tell who will fill end the playoff and play-in spots at the end. Sacramento looks talent wise a step ahead of the rest, but Doug already showed the way thu the West is always going to Portland. Very interesting.

I also still like Sarr s lot. I will always be a Harper Jr. stan, just my kind of player, but if Sarr develops he can impact the league in a lot of different ways. He is quite raw though and likely not a boost player.

This is gold.

“…Interesting storyline for Doumbouya. He’s now on his 4th team… I don’t even count Washington as a team because like every player plays for Washington for like half the season. I just think Washington is just like a staging area.”

This is great, just listened to the Eastern Conference and now I'm listening to the Western Conference. This is great, informative and really entertaining. I agree with your assessments in general. OKC as a dark horse is a good call, and CLE out East is as well.
