Yet Again...New Atlanta Hawks GM
All, it is no secret that the Atlanta Hawks franchise has been in turmoil since Daniel left them a few seasons ago. They have had a new GM each season and each season that GM makes poor trades and then goes missing. We just lost the 4th GM of this team since Daniel and this team is not a project that an inexperienced GM can tackle anymore (and the league can't risk an inactive/poor GM ruining this team any further).
With that said, Andrew (aka lakeshow) will be moving on from the Portland Trailblazers to GM the Atlanta Hawks.
Before anyone starts huffing and puffing, this wasn't a decision that was taken lightly and was discussed at length before deciding on it. We took into account several factors like:
- State of the team being left (Andrew made Portland a top team in the West with one of the top 3 players in the league which makes them much more attractive to new GMs)
- Activity of GM
- Plan for the Hawks
- Interest from an incoming GM on which team they prefer out of Atlanta and Portland
Again, this has been discussed since the beginning of the season as a possibility for this team and the timing just happened to work out with them being open during the off-season, but this is a very atypical occurrence that I don't foresee happening often (if ever again).
Andrew is aware he will be under the microscope while undergoing this switch, but we wish him all the best with the Hawks.
If you have any questions about this, please send a PM to Doug, Marcos, and myself.

Can't disagree with it. Plus can't blame Andrew from wanting to head to the leastern conference.
