Iman Shumpert of the Charlotte Hornets was arrested overnight after their victory over the Thunder in Oklahoma City. Shumpert who has seen limited time this year had only played 9 minutes in the game scoring 7 points and grabbing 4 rebounds. Shumpert was charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. Shumpert was seen swerving in and out of lanes after leaving Night Trips, an Oklahoma City Adult Entertainment club.



When Shumpert was pulled over at 2:20 AM, he failed the field sobriety test. When his car was searched, a backpack containing an undisclosed amount of marijuana was found in the trunk. Bail was posted and Shumpert was released in the early hours of the morning.

GM RiotPunch was unavailable at the time of this article for comment. Unconfirmed reports state that Shumpert was heard saying he used the marijuana for medicinal purposes as he has a cataract, which may explain his woeful shooting percentage from the floor so far this season.

Sadly shump missed last nights game against us due to the suspension. Maybe he would have missed some shots against us too. It barely happens that someone misses shots against us, so that would have been interesting.

Lol Dennis, he just as likely to allow anyone who wants to drive to the basket at will

It's a shame that Shump isn't as good of a defender here as he is in real life rating wise.
