Word coming out of the Luka Doncic camp prior to the start of the CSL Draft is that the potential number 1 pick prefers to land in Dallas instead of New York. Sources close to the player have said that Luka wants to be the face of the franchise and move to a city that will allow him to acclimate to the states smoother than what New York City offers.
Atfer reaching out to Luka's agent, Bill Duffy, he didn't add fuel to the fire stating that his client would be happy to play for any of the 30 franchises in the CSL and that he doesn't see any issues with him acclimating to any city he plays in.
The source close to the young Slovenian star said that he thinks Luka would go as far as forcing a trade if the Knicks selected him with the top overall pick.
Could we see a situation similar to the Eli Manning/Philip Rivers one that we saw in the NFL several years ago? After the latest workouts and sitting down with Mark [Cuban], he feels that they are committed to him and building a team around him. He didn't get that same feeling from New York after meeting with them.
