Rumor right now out of Oklahoma City is that the Thunder are tired of injuries and ready to trade. A few trade partners have made offers, but there is one particular offer the Thunder like best.

Rumors have it that Thunder 2022 1st, McDermott, Asik and fillers will be leaving.
Another rumor has it that the Thunder are tired of Rozier and his inefficient play that he may be on the block with Thunder 2022 1st.
Regardless, the Thunder have been in discussions the past few days with as many as 5 different teams. One team offered some god named Staten for the pick. Who can turn down Staten? ....

Another rumor has it that the Thunder are tired of Justin Anderson, and he will be packaged with the 2022 1st, McDermott, for an All Star player.

Everything is a rumor for now, but something is on the horizon.

Curious to see who you're getting, hopefully is someone who's efficient on offense to help SJJ out.

So basically an allstar that's worth it to give up 4 firsts and McDermott for, heavy price!

Rebuilds take time, man. Don't be so quick to give up that pick of yours.

Torn on this as you guys are playing great and just injured right now, maybe be patient but I also know from experience it's hard to continue to be patient when you have been rebuilding and looking to improve because these seasons are 6 real life mths...tough call

Breaking news: Thunder verbally agree to trade

The Oklahoma City Thunder have verbally agreed to a trade for day 60.
After injury to Stanley Johnson, and not enough big man depth, they wanted to help that cause.
They spoke to the Miami Heat and were able to complete a deal.

This trade will send 27 year old Gorgui Dieng to the Thunder and in return, the Miami Heat will receive the Thunder 2022 1st round pick unprotected, Doug McDermott + fillers.

We spoke to gm 8time of the Thunder regarding this move:

Reporter: "So why give up your best shooter who can score 15ppg+ on any given night plus an unprotected first round pick?"

8time: "After careful consideration and not rushing into a trade, Gorgui Dieng was presented to the Thunder. This guy is a monster on the boards and great on defense. The best part is he's only 27 years old. Stanley, Willie Carly-Stein, and Dieng should provide much needed points, rebounds and defense to take us to the next level".

It sucks to lose Doug McDermott as he is pretty much automatic from anywhere on the floor. Doug can score with the best of them and I wish him success for the Miami Heat.
We also lost a first round pick, which hurts a little but by 2022 we expect that pick to be nothing special. But who knows, injuries do happen and that's why I made this trade to provide the much needed big man depth in case another injury happens."

Reporter: "Dieng makes 11 million, how can you afford him with the younger guys like Rozier, Anderson, and Stanley about to be paid?"

8time: "That was a situation we closely examined before committing to this trade. Rozier, Stanley and Anderson will get get their money and we won't have a problem at least until year 3. But that's a situation we will deal with two years from now.
The Thunder are happy to put out a legit product on the court consisting of Ricky Rubio, Terry Rozier, DeMarre Carroll, Justin Anderson, James Young, Stanley Johnson, Willie Carly-Stein, and newest member Gorgui Dieng.
Once We get completely healthy, I expect us to.make a big push this season and even make it to the 2nd round".

Reporter: "Thanks for the breaking news 8time

8time: "No problem, I love sharing any bit of CSL news with anyone who will listen."

Dieng is one of the most overrated players in the CSL IMO

Miami grabbing more firsts.
Wow, I thought Silo was done with that. If one of those picks hits they'll be great in 5 years from now. I wouldn't want to suck for that long but..

Only thing of value I had left. Not worried about a 2022 pick tbh.

I don't think I have ever seen a verbaled trade be published this early.

I also don't think I've ever seen an article be written in the comments of another article

It's likely a ploy to out the Miami GM so he can't back out later.

If OKC had any smarts, they'd take the reputation hit and break the verbal. This may not be three 1sts for Justin Anderson bad, but it's in the same neighborhood
