Krekker: Vasquez Dealt To Eastern Team

James Krekker confirmed today in an article posted earlier to his website, that G Grevis Vasquez has been traded to an Eastern Conference team. Vasquez has been putting up career high numbers after finally being given a shot in Oklahoma City. A player that can do a bit of everything good, but nothing great, he can for sure come in and immediately make his presence felt for whichever team acquired him. It was no secret that the Thunder wanted a lottery pick in return, it'll be interesting to see which team may have gotten this deal finished.

I can confirm this rumor though. Deal is done, he's gone.
It was a bad situation all around. Knight and Vasquez fighting for the same girl, caused locker room issues and eventually the team suffered from it. And out of the two I had to keep Knight.

I doubt Vasquez is worth as much as that.

Let's just say I didn't get what I wanted. But the move had to be made given the new salary cap, and the new contracts of Henson and MKG, that I plan on matching. "....." got a hell of a deal. Just looking 1-2 years down the line, and this deal made sense for me.

Brian Schmitz: I can confirm ORL has been contacted by OKC about Vasquez though I'm uncertain of the result of those talks.
