Round 1 - Pick 22 - Golden State Warriors

Post by cb4raptorscb4 »

With pick 22, the Warriors select PF Kobe Brown.

Image

The 22 year old out of Missouri is 6'8 and 250 lbs. Many expected Brown may go late lottery, but he slid a bit due to some questions around his ability to stay on the court. A lack of durability, IQ, and discipline may prevent Brown from being a starting-calibre player, but he has terrific offensive rebounding and paint scoring skills.

The Warriors have a glut of forwards, but Tariq Owens is still recovering from his torn Achilles. Expect Brown to battle it out with the likes of Stone Gettings and Kevon Looney for minutes next season.

I thought he would've been taken in the 16-20 range. Good pick here at 22, as he can pretty much come in and contribute right away as a rebounder, efficient inside scorer, and a good rim protector. Might get into foul trouble though.

Was very close to taking him with 18 even though we have enough bigs. Looks real solid inside and on the boards plus can block, just poor IQ.

Very solid big man. One of my targets this late. Some red flags during interview and age factor could be the reason he is not a lottery pick.

Really good rebounder who lasted a bit longer than I expected. Terrific finisher at the rim, good shot blocker, but questions about his defense, ability to stay on the floor, and his scoring outside the paint probably dropped him more than someone of his talent should.

I was going to take him at 23. Ready now big man with amazing rebounding and inside scoring game. Brings some strong shot-blocking as well. Very good pick here for the Warriors
Congrats to season 16 ASL champion SoulKey. For the Swarm!
