The Wizards select Derrick Lively, center out of Duke university. This pick has been traded, article will be up later.

He was in my top 3 at #17, but if he couldn't shoot threes... He would be late first round. Threes are valuable but if he shoots them, who is gonna rebound from the team since he's out on the perimeter?

Both 6th and 13th traded for Washington? Interested to see what moves they'll be making.

I think I liked him but what was concerning is he can shoot the 3 but will he actually shoot? That was my worry but I didn't have too many scouts on him from memory.

Wonder what Washington is up to then if they traded these two picks

Very interesting skillset... he's a big body that does typical big man things on both ends, but also a really good jumpshooter and pretty versatile defender. I could've seen him going higher than this actually, but he's not going to create a ton of his own looks. I'm a big fan.

I’m a big fan of him and he was one of my targets at 10

Has some interesting ratings. Really good shot (especially ATB). Good rebounder (especially OREB). Really versatile defense.

Has some question marks though. His great outside shot will neutralize some of his OREB, his usage won't ever be super high, and his handles aren't good.

Will take some experimenting, but he has the skillset to play both the 3 and/or the 4.

He could be the guy i drafted at 12 if i did not traded the pick. The thing about him is he's a bit raw atm with not so much high ceiling.

I really like Dereck and was considering him at 11. Elite ATB and mid-range shooter. Has some shot-blocking ability and really high steals for a big. He is also exceptional dunker and very good at drawing contact. Rebounding is decent. He is raw and will take some time but the talent is there.
Congrats to season 16 ASL champion SoulKey. For the Swarm!
