DDS19 Testing League

All,

With the trade deadline quickly approaching and us looking to do some testing on DDS19, we had the idea of running a parallel DDS:19 league to look for some of the bugs that might present themselves prior to the full league transition.

This league would be run using a default roster set (not the CSL or NBA rosters) and the intended purpose is not to win, but for GMs to test the engine to try and find the bugs before the real seasons begin using it. There are no good NBA mods yet for this engine so we can't really use that unfortunately.

The rules would be simple:

1. This cannot take away from your activity in the CSL or you will be removed from the test league.

2. Anyone here can own a team, but you HAVE to own the game (don't worry, this won't be a requirement for the league when we transition). There will be no HTML and no manual DCs so the file will be everything. A subsection of this forum will have areas to upload DCs, make minor team requests, but that's it.

3. All GMs can do is trade with each other (no commish approval is required) and sign/release players. Also, potentially instructions but we'll see.

4. We would sim multiple days a sim and only have a limited sim schedule (2-3x a week with 10-20 days a sim) so as to not impose on the CSL league schedule.

The point of this league would be to search out bugs in the game, but we would like this to be a league owned venture where Myles and myself are overseeing (and participating), but not necessarily running the league. This is an opportunity for 2 GMs to run this test league, which means simming, uploading to a shared area, and maintaining the schedule (we expect no sims missed). This will also give GMs a chance to familiarize yourself with the engine in a multiplayer league ahead of the transition.
