Instruction Adjustment?

Post by bt »

I might be alone in this but is it possible we could adjust instructions for the really minor numbers somehow without costing multiple instructions?

For example, Kofi has 95 post, 1 mid, 2 corner and 2 atb. It would take 3 instructions to make him 100 post moving 5 points which leaves me only 9 and is just a waste of instructions.

Is there some way they could they be combined into one perhaps for small numbers or something? Or even instead of 12 instructions, give a total number of points that can be used? Although I know that would create more instruction work for the simmer versus if we could alter minor numbers, it would only be 2 more clicks.

I think its intentional, they want you be able to fix someone completely broken quickly but if you want to make a player perfect it becomes a decision for the GMs. I think making it a decision is good.

I thought this post was going to be about a POST max for short or skinny players. Strategies have such a minimal impact because you cant push a 100% post player out of the post. 100% makes sense for a 7 ft 230lbs player but 6 9 210 players shouldnt be 100% post.

i'll say that I personally create players to have say 94% POST, 2% from the other ranges, rather than a flat 100%. Even in the NBA, basically nobody shoots 100% of their shots from the paint, especially not one that creates their own offense a decent bit.

Even Rudy Gobert who is spoon-fed almost all his own offense, attempted 25 shots from 10-16, 8 from 16-23, and 3 3PA, about 5% of his total shot attempts this year.

The only real life player I can think of that doesn't at least take a handful of shots outside the paint every year is DeAndre Jordan and that really should be the exception not the norm. But if you want to utilize instructions to move that last 2-3% inot the paint then more power to you

Yeah, good points and actually agree after seeing it that way.

Need to trade for some instructions if I go that way, damn haha.
