Lakers Block

Post by Jestor »

Not Available
Marvin Bagley III
Cheick Diallo
Cameron Payne
Indiana 2024 1st
All Lakers 1sts

Holding On To For Now
Dikembe Dixson
Cameron Oliver
Isuuf Sanon

Overpay Required

Noah Vonleh - I've wanted this guy since his draft class and will give him the attention he deserves but never received. Still just 25 years old. Projects to be a fierce 3 man frontcourt with Bagley and Diallo. I'll fix his preferences, he'll look incredible, and then I'll probably keep him.

Available Players

D'Angelo Russell - Is he overpaid? Yep. But young quality point guards are still at a premium, especially those who can gun from 3. And he's going to sparkle in 19.

Leron Black - Willing to entertain offers

Sean Kirkpatrick - Go ahead and offer. Not a part of our future

JaKarr Sampson - Picked up his PO, so he's available. Has a winning impact. We won a lot more games last season after acquiring him in trade. $2.8 mil. expiring

Darrun Hilliard - Zonebreaker who plays passable D, Expiring is dirt cheap $1.3 million for a 28 year old who is a good reserve/pinch-hit starter. He's just not playing due to all the young guys I have to develop

Keifer Sykes - Talented young slashing scorer with high accuracy shot, good DRWFL for a guard, and some ability to steal. Is he overpaid? Yeah. Am I going to give you compensation to take on his contract? No. We're fine financially with him. That said, if you want in on him, we'll listen to offers.

Jon Leuer - So uh, he didn't get any pref work. He's still a project who will be worth investing in for a team that has the instructions to spare. Reasonable flat-rate cost at $3 million and he can be cut next year by declining his TO.

Kaleb T - Dirt cheap locked prime contract. I like him way more than you probably, so he'll probably stick around.

Available Picks/Cap
Lakers 2026 2nd
Clippers 2025 2nd

Looking For
* Rebuilding stuff - We're fully committing to it. That means youth and picks
* A young 3&D guy on the wing is still our biggest need by far
* No interest in big men. We've got our 3 in Bagley/Diallo/Vonleh, a tryout in Black, and a reliable veteran in Kaleb T. Plus, Zion could be a thing here.

Not around much, due to possible moving and a major project (still don't have a DC in), but feel free to make me offers.

Just a note that interest is heating up in Tyler Stone. I've one offer I'm considering and there's another team who projects to make an offer soon.

So if you're one of the teams that has interest, hit me up, because he could be gone by EOW.

All 1st round picks

Trade Restricted
David Nwaba - Interesting project player who is just 25. Small expiring.

So.Many.Bigs.
Georgios Papagiannis - Stellar 2 way upside - only 20 so still has time to grow into it. Willing to deal one of him or Wood, but not both. He's been surprisingly effective as a SF (46%+ FG from the SF slot, 1.3 blocks, 13.6 points).

Christian Wood (Can be fatty expiring due to TO - young and talented starter). Either he or Greek Papa will be our long-term starter

Cheick Diallo - Got the scoring boost and is a phenomenal rebounder and at drawing contact. FG % this year is small sample size because I haven't updated my DC due to being too busy (at work now, in fact)

Tyler Stone - Starter quality and good sized expiring - Generating a lot of interest as a double-double player shooting 58%. #4 in the league in rebounding and #5 in shooting %.

Daniel Miller (Fatty expiring and starter quality. He's had some interest as well, but nothing convincing me to pull the trigger yet)

Jon Leuer - He's going to get the focus of our pref work this year when I have time, so we're likely going to keep him until we get his value up.

Joel Bolomboy (Cheap expiring and decent rotation big)

If The Right Offer Came Along
Patrick McCaw - Steadily creeping 3 & D player who has been a better 3 point shot than FG% 2 out of his 3 seasons. Won't take shots but can break zones. Should probably give him more pref work. I do like him more than most TBH as a bench player.

Others
Keifer Sykes (Talented young scorer with high accuracy shot, good DRWFL for a guard, and some ability to steal. Locked into a multi-year contract)

Austin Rivers (Impending RFA next summer. Our starting PG by default. He's been a surprisingly good passer/scorer/shooter and I'm good with keeping him to be our new Napier combo guard 6th man), #3 in the league in assists. 46.1% from 3 point range. The biggest shock of the year for me so far, and someone I honestly probably want to keep.

Abdel Nader (Defensive specialist who won't eat shots from scorers. Small expiring.)

Mateusz Ponitka - Has developed into a strong scorer/shooter on a great contract. Small expiring. 15.5 points on 50%+ shooting.

Chicago Bulls 2023 2nd
Los Angeles Clippers 2023 2nd
Portland Trailblazers 2023 2nd
7.8 million in cap space - But you'll need to pay appropriate compensation for it

Looking For
* Rebuilding stuff - We're fully committing to it. That means youth and picks
* We're open to considering all positions.
* Shooting %, defense, turnover generation, and handling are our top priorities in skillsets

Other Notes
* 2nds carry almost no value for us

Update. Be forewarned, it might take a few weeks for us to respond due to move (and I'm still way, way behind on packing).

I'm going to keep bumping. A season with no trades as a bottom feeder is the worst.
