We got a 118-104 home win over the Hawks. Flowers had a spectacular game, almost with a triple double of 28/15/8 off the bench. Castleton got injured for 2 weeks in the first half, so he had to play some more minutes. 60 ream rebounds was really big for us. Next is New York for the final game of this brutal schedule to start the season.

Both games were close, but like the advanced stats showed before, if we win it, it is mostly lucky and you can't count just on luck.
In game 1 in LA we could not contain Topic or their bench and that cost us. Tillman was in early foul trouble, that didn't help.
Our offense was present, but our D keeps missing all season
ATL - LAC: 131 - 139
LAC
N. Topic: 32pts (12/17), 11ass, 3stl
V. Williams Jr.: 24pt (8/13), 2reb, 1stl
ATL
J. Alvarado: 22pt (8/13), 16ass, 4stl
R. Perry: 19pt (9/19), 9reb, 2blk
In game 2 vs Golden State even our offense stuttered. We were not able to get easy points in the paint and let the Warriors run circles around us
ATL - GSW: 104 - 118
GSW
T. Flowers: 28pt (12/24), 15reb, 8ass
S. Castle: 20pt (7/21), 6ass, 2stl
ATL
X. Tillman: 19pt (7/17), 9reb, 3blk
N. Marshall: 26pt (9/19), 2reb, 4blk

Re: Regular Season || Sim 9
Took everything to get by the Thunder at home as we win 103-93.
Dick took it to his old team leading us with 23 points. Been trying some new strategies but most seem to nullify Kofi's impact as he only takes 10 shots for 17 points. Still trying to find the right mix but we've steadied a little since our poor start to the season.

Re: Regular Season || Sim 9
132-122 win vs NY
Got our revenge from the season opener and now we don't have to face Luka the rest of the season! Really good offense from both teams (54/46/91 shooting for us, 58/53/56 shooting for NY, and below average turnovers). Our bench went nuts in this game, and we had a total of 9 players score at least 8 points. Gonna try to keep this lineup together for a bit, as it strikes the right balance between Fultz and Mitchell that I've been trying to find.
ZDK: 22pts, 6-9 3P, 4-4 FT
Mitchell: 18pts, 5reb, 2stl, 9-11 FG
Fultz: 17pts, 6-9 FG, 5-8 3P (15min)
Hagans: 16pts, 17ast, 4stl, 5-6 FG, 5-6 FT
Brown: 14pts, 9reb, 3ast, 3blk
Varnado: 12pts, 4reb, 5-9 FG

Played a professional shootout against the Atlanta Hawks back at home. A big 48 point 3rd quarter swing won us this game. The team shot over 58% as a whole. It was a blast watching this game, all offense no defense.Flaming Homer wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2026 11:56 am In game 1 in LA we could not contain Topic or their bench and that cost us. On the other hand, not playing defense isn't so smart...

No clue what my team is thinking but more and more they just try to outscore the other team. Watched too much nowadays NBA I guess.

Re: Regular Season || Sim 9
L vs. UTA
Malik Ellison was 1 assist away from a triple double, finishing w/ 19/13/9, and Davion Mitchell was clearly the best player on the floor adding 35/9/5 w/ 2 stls & 2 blks. We really need to get more out of the point guard position for this team to start performing well in terms of overall efficiency.
