L vs. HOU
We continue the losing streak @ Houston and lose Nassir Little for 4 days. Tough break, and this season hasn't gone to expectations so far. The opposition was a bit more efficient and won the rebounding battle. NAW was solid and Michael Young put up 28/12/2 w/ 1 blk. Houston had a more balanced scoring attack and we look to next game.

Streaking the wrong way like we do at the start of every season. Played straight man to man and my guys still couldn't stop them. I'm done questioning/being annoyed by the engine and more excited about dds25.

118-96 win vs TOR
Gates: 19pts, 5reb, 3stl, 6-11 FG, 7-7 FT
Reddish: 19pts, 3reb, 4ast, 7-16 FG, 4-8 3P
Lawson: 18pts, 5reb, 2blk, 7-11 FG
Lofton: 17pts, 3reb, 6-8 FG
Gant: 14pts, 8reb, 8ast, 2stl, 7-12 FG
Aside from giving up a monster game to Young, this is what I envisioned when putting this team together. 4 guys scoring between 17-19 points, lots of defense everywhere, limited turnovers, lots of FTs, and pretty efficient shooting. We were able to overcome (another) trash game from Walker who only played 13 minutes due to foul trouble.
Need to get Walker going somehow, he seems to start every season really slow from 3, and this year is shooting 21% on over 4 attempts. Bridges is cold as well but also not really finding shots in our offense yet. It'll come hopefully. But even without Mikal in double figures, we have seven players averaging double figures, led by Cam Reddish's 13.9ppg. Eight if you include Simmons who has only appeared in two games.

Re: Regular Season || Sim 10
Tough two game sim against two playoff caliber teams. I tried to do what I could to plan for both but it certainly backfired against the Kings as I wanted to align Towns with Cockburn but if I did that he wouldnt have been aligned with Porter. So we wound up getting killed by the Kings but we followed that game up by destroying the Cavs.
I am a little disappointed in our recent play. We pride ourselves in winning the rebounding battle, getting to the foul line, and limiting our turnovers. We are now in a 4 game stretch where we have lost in all of those (going 2-2.) Against the Kings our defense was terrible allowing them to convert 50% of their shots, they doubled their free throw attempts, fortunately only hitting half and had a +13 turnover difference. Thybulle did an awesome job on Monk and Windler forcing both into their worst games of the season.
Against Cleveland by limiting the number of shots Porter took forced Langford into a lot more shots where he expectedly went 3 of 22 from the floor. I thought he may have shot a little bitter due to me unable to assign anyone on him defensively but I guess Monk somehow did good enough. We still failed at getting to the free throw line and had far too many turnovers but at least we won the rebounding battle this game. Monk and Towns were terrible but fortunately Kosta and Windler were able to pick up the slack.
We are now 7-3 after 10 games. Despite a very heavy home schedule, I am pleased with the result as 7 of our games have all been against teams we expect to be in the playoffs. I would argue we have had the toughest schedule in the league when I compare it to the other teams with solid records. Pacers next as we have 10 of our next 15 on the road.

Uh, 2 wins in a row. Must be a glitch.
Kidding aside, it was very important that we take care of business at home against the Pacers.
Some better shooting and good D secured us the win. Even if we tried hard to loose it in quarter 4.
IND - ATL: 84 - 97
IND
J. Murray: 20pt (8/18), 5reb, 2stl
Semi: 20pt (5/24), 10reb, 4blk
ATL
G. Goloman: 18pt (8/15), 7reb, 2stl
N. Marshall: 18pt (7/19), 5reb, 3ass

Re: Regular Season || Sim 10
Injuries take turns with Mitchell now out 5 days including this game where he suddenly did not suit up, probably got hurt during practice or else.
Good thing we were able to hold through at home against the upstart Pistons. Maxey auto pilot in placed of Mitchell and did what he has to do to help Morant in scoring. This game has become an offensive outburst with our best defender not around. Not sure we can shoot this kind for so many games so we badly need Mitchell back.
Well done, Lukas. Good game.

The Sixers took care of business at home against the Pistons in a high-scoring affair. Detroit coach Terrance Hyde must've been disappointed to lose in what was Detroit's best offensive game of the season so far. Pistons fans shouldn't expect to lose many games in which their team shoots above 50% from the field and 11/17 from deep. Even without Davion Mitchell, who sat out due to undisclosed reasons, the Sixers’ backcourt tandem of Ja Morant and Tyrese Maxey wreaked havoc. Their combined firepower kept the scoreboard ticking, leaving the Pistons scrambling to contain them. And Swanigan (6 steals) covered for Mitchell defensively as Philly continues its red-hot start to the season.
In the words of Microsoft Copilot:When asked about the game, Coach Hyde had this to say: “We faced a buzzsaw tonight. The Sixers are playing at a different level.” Indeed, Philly’s hardwood symphony is hitting all the right notes, and opponents better take notice. The Sixers are here to stay.
Detroit (5-4) finishes off the week tomorrow on the road against the defending champs Brooklyn (6-3).

Got a win hosting the Knicks, despite Doncic having a good game. Levi was efficient with 26 on 11-17 shooting.
We would play a lot more comfortable if we didn't suck from the FT line so much

Washington Wizards - 114
Donovan Mitchell - 27 pts, 4 reb, 1 stl
Laurynas Birutis - 20 pts, 13 reb, 1 blk
Jayson Tatum - 18 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
Dragan Bender - 11 pts, 11 ast, 2 stl, 1 blk
Brooklyn Nets - 122
DeAndre Ayton - 31 pts, 9 reb, 1 stl, 6 blk
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - 22 pts, 5 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl
Aleksander Vezenkov - 18 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl
Robert Williams - 16 pts, 14 reb, 2 blk
Feels good to take down the rebuilt Wizards behind a well-rounded performance by our squad. We gave the bench a bit more run in this one than we had so far this season and it was very hit-and-miss. Ayton is still a dominant force in less minutes, connecting on 12 of his 18 shot attempts, swatting six shots and just controlling the game on both ends. It was great to see SGA get going as well and get to the line for 13 attempts.

Re: Regular Season || Sim 10
Surprising big win in Denver after going down to them by 10 points on the same floor only 8 games ago.
We both hit around 50%, they hit 10 more threes, we had 2 more free throw makes but it was shot generation that gave us the win putting up 107 attempts to their 79. That's a big difference in the end and 18 offensive rebounds plus 6 turnovers to 19 go a long way to helping that. Monk usually destroys us too but had a quiet 24 point night albeit a little inefficient.
Speaking of, Thybulle is having a great season and again went near a triple double (16.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 7.6 assists on the season) but his efficiency has absolutely tanked. We played mainly balanced offense last season but with Kofi and Tillman taking control, he seems to be struggling with the strategy change. As long as he keeps producing stats it doesn't matter as much I guess.
Kofi had a great game going for 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals. We got 18 from Tillman and Bazley and 16 each from Achiuwa and Bozic. I really like how many players we have that can go for 15+ on any given night.
We return home after the 3 game road trip against the Blazers.

Solid 13 point win over OKC! Second game in a row that we've shot over 50% as a team. Melli and Bowman shouldered the majority of the scoring load for us, with Martin providing 20 off the bench! 3-6 now on the season and hopefully we can turn this higher level of efficiency into a staple for us offensively.
