Re: Trade Chatter
Crazy to see Porter get moved again. Wild to think I was debating on him, he isn’t bad; just doesn’t seem like he ever fit what plans teams who picked him up and. Hopefully he shows out for Detroit

Re: Trade Chatter
Porter at half his price is a useful player. Porter at 12-13M is incredible bad value.thecoolestjedi wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 5:49 pm Crazy to see Porter get moved again. Re: Trade Chatter
I think Porter would’ve been awesome in the old engine, with this new engine he kind of got needed but is still very solid as a 2 way slashing guard.

Re: Trade Chatter
First trade! Yurtseven has that TO which makes it a bit better. He struggles with his efficiency but maybe he can be a 3 pt specialist big lol

I’ll have to take a closer look but I like the value for Detroit who are the only team that doesn’t have to worry about cap room. Smart play.

Re: Trade Chatter
Very interesting trade between SAC/DEN, Aaron Epps is supposed to be the most win now prospect in this draft and Denver is a win now team that should contend for a western conference playoff berth at least, with the potential for a finals run if everything clicks. BT is always dangerous to trade with and even in a semi rebuild they are a dangerous team with a wealth of assets. I like Portland a lot, and think they are underrated but for the sake of this deal I like it for both teams. Well done!

Re: Trade Chatter
As someone who trades my future 1st”s when they are projected to be lotto, I like this deal for Atlanta, our mentor! He is betting on internal development to push his rebuild into a young contender, similar to us last season. I wouldn’t want to be in his division right now…

Re: Trade Chatter
Not sure what to think of that Den-Sac trade. Epps taken at 19th could be a reach but the talent is there and only concern was his age. Letting go of a future unprotected 1st for an old rookie could be a risk but Denver with a returning Brett seems to be just fine moving forward.

Re: Trade Chatter
Washington / Boston deal is illegal. Rookie salaries doesn’t count until after FA I think when they become trade restricted.
Dennis must be under the luxury tax to absorb the minimum salary which he’s not and looking at salaries probably won’t be

Re: Trade Chatter
You can still use the 1.25 multiplier over the luxury tax per CBA. And I believe we can pick between using the salary or count it as $0/rookie rights during post draft rookie rights trading before a GM signs the deal, especially since 1st rookie selections are automatically signed to 2 years minimum already with 2 vesting options.Marcos_Beck wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 1:24 pm Washington / Boston deal is illegal.
