Ocons, Utah Jazz up 11 spots

Biggest Loser:
Image
mgtr81, Milwaukee Bucks down 13 spots

RANK | Team | Record | Previous Rank | GM
Elite

Image
1:New Orleans Pelicans
13-3 7th (UP 6 SPOTS) Sun Scorched
Best record in the league. Best player in the league. Best shooter in the league. Won 10 of last 11 games
Image
2:Phoenix Suns
12-3 2nd (Same) Greenbear
many consider this team to be the main contenders this year. They bring in tough defense and strong offense. After never averaging more than 15 points per game. Isaiah Austin is at 21 this season – MIP?
Image
3:Sacramento Kings
13-4 1st (Down 2) bt
bt’s tactics have changed this season for the first time in a while. But the result is the same.
Image
4:Indiana Pacers
12-4 4th (Same) Mattybriand
Griffin + Klay = highest scoring offense in the league at 117.6 PPG. They are now sitting at the top of the East but can they keep it up?
Image
5:Portland Trailblazers
13-5 8th (Up 3 spots) Lakeshowak7
sneaked into the top 5 after finishing 8th last time. But they are 2-3 in the last 5. Fluke?
Image
6:Orlando Magic
12-5 15th (UP 9 SPOTS) Willyjakkz
8-2 in the last 10 despite Paul George missing a few games. Willy continues to get it done
Better then Most
7:Detroit Pistons
10-6 5th (Down 2 spots) Emplep7
Are they ranked so high because of their performance this season or because of their past? 5-5 in the last 10 including crushing defeats at home to Portland and Minnesota.
8:Chicago Bulls
11-8 3rd (Down 5 spots) Marcos_Beck
few wins and few losses. More wins than losses for now as Marcos is still trying to figure it out this season.
9:Toronto Raptors
9-7 9th (Same) Chilikonkarne
6-4 in the last 10, Toronto are 6th in the league in FG% but 29th in FT%. Can they continue to win games while bricking almost 35% of their freebies?
10:Philadelphia 76ers
10-7 10th (Same) StOfTheStep
Very high rank for an up and down team. Their success patterns are strongly linked to their GM – when he shows up, they win. When he disappears, they lose. Let’s hope he continues to show up.
11:Memphis Grizzlies
11-7 6th (Down 5 spots) Andrei
12:Houston Rockets
9-8 12th (Same) BIZGILWALKER
Middle of the PACK

People do vote only by record which makes no sense in powerrankings. It's not about overall record but teams actual performance. Cleveland for example should be way higher. No idea why Houston is even ranked that high. Just to name two examples.

In our case, we beat Sac (by 20), Toronto (by 20), Detroit (by 20), Chicago, philly (by30) last week and ranked in the middle of the pack? Meh. But yeah, like said, most "experts" only look at actual record not at a teams actual performance.
However, good work and I really love being "an underdog".

Power rankings are pretty subjective, so I don't really think there's truly a right or wrong. Unless we start establishing some criteria, then none of us will really ever all agree with it.

You've also lost to New York, Minnesota and Utah and beat OKC by 4 in that same stretch. What's wrong with being in the middle of the pack? If you would have said something about the Clippers, I would have said that you have an argument. They have a very generous ranking for some reason.

I don't really care about the ranking, haha. But the rankings are a bit off. Have to agree with Andy, clippers that high is weird. Same for Charlotte.
But it's cool to see the opinions of other GMs. I really miss jaboo's rankings. His have been based on stats, that was awesome.

They are only off if we count your wins and not your losses. I get your logic now.

If people decided to write "IN MY OPINION" after most statements on these forums, I think the bitching and crying would be reduced ten fold. Or if people stopped trying to drudge up drama for no reason, that would help too. Now I'm starting to remember why I left in the first place...

With that said, thank you to the GMs who contributed to the rankings. Power Rankings are NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE and are just a quick glance at what GMs around the think (i.e. THEIR OPINION). Rather than getting all up in arms about them, enjoy them and allow them to be the start of some healthy conversation without the BS.

So that means you prefer no comments over an honest statement, Adam?

Not at all. I wish people were able to give their honest thoughts and opinions without taking everything personal. I also with people wouldn't make comments for the sole purpose of trying to insight angry responses from others as well. I know I'm not the biggest fan of confrontation but at some point it just becomes unbearable.

Maybe I'm used to other types of conversations/confrontations due to my job, but I can't see any fishing for angry answers in this thread at all. Even Andrew behaves restrained lol. Only matty needs to stop doing illegal stuff and we are good to have a pretty peaceful season haha.
