Stockton back to New York

Post by Stockton12 »

The last few months have been a whirlwind for stockton12 , first he threw in the towel with New York
After a few years with the club and decided that maybe it’s time for a change and quit the league or find a new team as a few gms came to him to said stay but find a new team .

After a lot of time spent talking with the commishes and with Moado Lo and Ryan boatright coming to his house Stockton decided to stay with the team and build it up . Sure is the same New York but this team needs me and with 2 first round picks Andy potentially both top 10 it’s an exciting time for the Knicks .

The main reason behind his decision to stay with the Knicks was Stockton is associated with quiting and sure he’s not good at being patient with building a team but sometimes he needs to be reminded stay the course and reap the rewards later .

This summer should be huge for New York, you'll finally get to draft a franchise cornerstone with your own pick, and another really solid piece with Orlando's. You've done a pretty good job getting some nice supporting pieces over the last few months (Anderson, Lo, Giannis are nice) and things should start to come together next season once those three guys are your 3rd, 4th, 5th best players rather than your top 3. Glad you're sticking around for that.

I think NY is one of the better young situations in the league. Keep your picks and you can build a very good team. You're essentially one season behind the Lakers as building a good foundation. Stick to it and it will pay off.

Maybe the new free agency system will allow the Knicks to grab a legit talent in free agency.

Agreed. Cap space, top pick, few young pieces. Not bad.

A shame you did not get the team you were hoping for but New York are on a better track now.

You’ll be fine, Phil. Drafting well and spending CAP wisely will bring New York back to relevance next season

Glad you're back. There are a few interesting players on that Knicks squad already and adding a potential #1 overall pick should allow you to start building a team that could one day compete for the championship.

This draft still hasn't shown an elite #1 option like past ones. But the good news is that there will be really impactful players at the top, so if the Knicks get a top3 pick I think they'll be able to draft someone they can count for as long as the guy is in the league. No #1, but certainly some #2s are available there.

Crossing fingers about the lotto balls in my first draft with a Knicks pick
