The sub-matrix and strategies were set up as follows:
- Starters set to 28, Reserves set from 12-18 in the submatrix.
- Offensive Pace, OREB, DREB set to 10; Defensive Intensity, FCP, and Zone Defense set to 5 for both teams. Offensive Set was set to Standard.
- The Chicago Bulls represent the Eastern All Stars, Houston represents the Western All Stars.
The East started the game out in dominating fashion, taking a 10 point lead after the first quarter, but the West, led by their strong second unit, came surging back and at one point held onto a 14 point lead late in the third quarter. In the fourth, Jabari Parker came alive and Damian Lillard chipped in some points to bring the East back in the game. With time winding down, the West kept giving it to the big man duo of Anthony Davis and Kristaps Porzingas down low, but Milos Teodosic of the Washington Wizards took the East down the stretch at the end and hit 4 of 4 FTs within the last minute to seal a close 1 point victory for the East!
