Clippers Acquire Mario Hezonja, Others in Monster Deal
Los Angeles -- The Los Angeles Clippers acquired shooting guards Mario Hezonja and Gary Harris, as well as point guard Ty Lawson in a three-team trade with the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday afternoon, the team announced. In the deal, the Clippers also acquired power forward Sani Sakakini from Brooklyn and shooting guard Malcolm Miller from the Spurs.As part of the trade, guards D'Angelo Russell and Rashad Vaughn were sent to Brooklyn, along with forward Trey Lyles and big man Jordan Mickey. Point guard Mike Conley was sent to San Antonio along with a future second round draft pick.
"We're thrilled to add all these guys to our team and continue to set a great culture here in Los Angeles," Clippers GM Dylan said to reporters shortly after the deal was announced. "An opportunity to get an all-star level player in Mario, a great, starting level guard in Gary and a terrific veteran like Ty was something we couldn't pass on."
The three are expected to be in uniform for the Clippers tomorrow night against Miami.
