Hornets Sign Micic
Hornets general manager Dejan Cvetnarevic has announced that the team has signed free agent Vasilije Micic to a one-year deal. Hornets needed some backcourt depth and Micic seems to be the right pickup. The front office in Charlotte believes his passing ability will help their scorers excel. Micic signed a deal worth $1,223,166.
Cvetnarevic is of opinion that Micic is exactly the player Hornets needed to complete their roster for the 2022/2023 CSL season. Coming from Serbia just like the Hornets GM, Micic shouldn't find it difficult to adapt in Charlotte.
Charlotte Hornets are Micic's eleventh CSL team. He previously had stints with Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, and Los Angeles Clippers. Last season, he played for Denver Nuggets before being traded to Los Angeles Clippers. In 2021/2022 season, he averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 assists per game. Hornets still have one open roster space left.
