OLD FRIEND?
CHICAGO, IL: Rumors have pointed out to the Chicago Bulls reaching an agreement with two other undisclosed teams on a deal that should bring Chicago a long-time wanted player for Marcos.
The player has been described by people inside the organization as “the best ever Bulls player not to wear a Bulls jersey yet”.
He is expected to be announced in the next minutes and this article will get a quick update as soon as it’s all official.
UPDATE:
“I’m very happy with the opportunity of joining an organization that has so much history as the Bulls do. They’re playing well and I believe I’ll be able to help them with my skills, shooting, and also bring a veteran presence to a young locker room. Just try to do my best as it’s a good team with a solid system in place, see how I can fit in and ease the game as much as possible for those guys”, said CJ McCollum, Chicago’s newest acquisition.
“We were after him for a long time. This is a risky move but i’m Sure we have what it takes for CJ to prove his worthy here. We truly wish nothing but the best to the guys that are leaving us, specially Schroder, but this was an opportunity we’re excited about” added Marcos.
“CJ should be playing mostly as a point, but we’ll use him off the ball as well. The idea here is to pair him with our other two secondary creators in Khris and Pope and let them find shots for themselves or the other guys. Markkanen and Guler will be playing together as this gives us superior man D on the perimeter plus a legit playmaker to feed Lauri, while CJ plays when both sits as we don’t need to feed Capela and Brice that much for them to be effective players” finished head coach Mike D’Antoni, who then confirmed, “9 players indeed, 9 man rotation at least for now, but don’t be surprised if Dotson or Neto pushes CJ for minutes”.
