James Harden on injury: "It F***ing sucks man"

The Rockets March 31st victory over the Blazers came at a heavy price. A collision with James Harden and Carmelo Anthony in the 4th minute of the game found Harden on the ground in pain. The injury was a broken wrist- an injury that would cost the league's third leading scorer (26.8ppg) some significant time. We interviewed Harden, who isn't expected to be cleared to play for the rest of the season, unless the Rockets miraculously make a run to the CSL Finals or the WCFs without him.

It fucking sucks man. Me and Zach were finally figuring things out- figuring out how to play winning basketball together. It's been a rough season overall, but it really sucks this had to happen just as we were turning things around. I think Zach and I were both shooting 50% or more from deep in March, fighting back from our own shooting slumps earlier in the year.

But it is what it is... Zach knows what's at stake. He's got the ball in his hands with 3-point shooters and defenders all around him. I'm interested to see what he can do. We just have to make the playoffs and after that anything can happen.

Harden finishes the season with averages of 26.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.1 assists on 46.5/35.1/89.6 shooting splits in 71 games.

Your first round match up (probably against the Suns) should now be closed in 4 games...A least, you will see how Lavine performed as number 1 option

moral of this story: no matter how confident you are in your team, do not trade your freaking 1st round picks.

Man that sucks, but at least you get to see how the other guys will step up. Let's see if Lavine can become the Kobe comparison as the number one guy.

As much as this season hasn't panned out for you, I still wouldn't look forward to facing the Rockets with a guy like Harden as you just never know when you have a super stud like that.

In a weird way, I kind of miss fat Harden even though he was ass on defense at 223 pounds. He was almost the same weight as Richard Solomon despite giving up like six inches. Against a team like yours I had to put good defenders at the 1-3, and I knew Harden could do his thing at any position at that weight. Doesn't really work anymore now that Harden has shed 20 pounds in an effort to play him more at his natural positions.
