Brewer signs with Memphis

Extra Extra Read all about it – Somebody actually agreed to sign with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Corey Brewer signed a whopping 4 year MLE deal yesterday.

Grizzlies CEO Andrei Sanzharov confirmed that he’s shocked:
Andrei Sanzharov, CEO wrote:I confirm that I’m shocked.
Why did a player of Corey’s caliber lower himself to sign with a bunch of yee-haws like yourselves?
Andrei Sanzharov, CEO wrote:He was sold on our vision. The vision is mostly focused on paying him 4 times more than his asking price. It still took him a while to make a decision.
Stay tuned for more???
Congrats to season 16 ASL champion SoulKey. For the Swarm!

Very nice fit, seems like a "MEM" type of player if that makes any sense. Should get plenty of minutes, good job!

I think you could have gotten him cheaper. Not really a fan of him.

True but Deng's asking price is way too high. He wants basically double of what Brewer received.

I fully expect Deng to be back. Worst case scenario I can offer him a gigantic short term deal (thank you Larry Bird). If he doesn't take that he can move on

I'd be a Corey Brewer fan if he was making $2M a year. Really not sure he is more than that. Good 4th or 5th wing in the rotation where he can play 10-15 minutes. MLE seems like an overpay.

I get what you and DJ are saying Biz. But reality is that players are not signing with us. Time and time again players are signing with other teams for lesser money. Its not an option for me to wait until late FA to hopefully get some bargain basement signings - players will choose your team over mine every time unless I significantly overpay. So yeah, the contract is slightly larger than what I would like. If I offered a 2 year LLE he would have signed for a min with you or whichever other high star power team offered. It is what it is dude

Originally I was gonna offer Brewer my MLE after a day I changed it to Glen Robinson III
