Lawson on the move already?
With Ty Lawson recently re-signing with the Thunder, rumors are he is getting traded. But why? And to who? Speaking to GM 8time he had a few words to say about the recent rumors.
Reporter: So rumors are you only re-signed Ty Lawson just to trade him. Is that true?
8 time: Yes it is true. He will be on the move in a sign and trade. I will not go into further details, but I wasn't just gonna let him walk for nothing. I needed assets in return.
Reporter: Why not just keep him? He averaged 24-7-4 for you after trading for him, and had your team competing towards the end of the season.
8time: I thank him for his contributions, but this is a business. And with my youth movement, he will only make my team win games. In return, I will receive a young prospect with really good potential to be a star. Plus Ty has been dealing with alcohol addiction. We can't have him around the young guys.
Reporter: So who is the team?
8 time: Don't worry about it. All I'm gonna say is that team will be competing next season with their other recent moves. I wish Ty Lawson the best, but he's older and I don't need older. I need younger on cap friendly contracts.

I like the deal that Ty is involved in and think it has the potential to really help both teams. He got paid, but he is one of my favorite players in the league.

Not really a fan of Lawson, but he's definitely and upgrade at Pg for BKN. Rozier will be benched soon, Rubio is a sniper compared to Terry

Re: Lawson on the move already?
I like Lawson a lot. Love to see teams aggressively pursuing the playoffs. Rebuilds are never a good thing in my mind.

Who says I'm rebuilding? Maybe retoolingMarcos_Beck wrote:I like Lawson a lot. Love to see teams aggressively pursuing the playoffs. Rebuilds are never a good thing in my mind.
No team wanted my junk before and I was a lottery team. I flip them for young assets, then flip the young guys for proven stars/vets

You would need tier1 prospects to do so. I can't see one on your team.8timechamp wrote:Who says I'm rebuilding? Maybe retoolingMarcos_Beck wrote:I like Lawson a lot. Love to see teams aggressively pursuing the playoffs. Rebuilds are never a good thing in my mind.

Stranger things have happened. All it takes is one gm...Dennis wrote:You would need tier1 prospects to do so. I can't see one on your team.8timechamp wrote:Who says I'm rebuilding? Plus having 11 picks in the next three yesrs could help in any trade.

Haha, yeah. Willy, goikiri, Nuggolesk etc are still part of this league. So the chances are still alive.

Sad thing that trading with yourself isnt allowed, would have been another opportunity.8timechamp wrote:ouchDennis wrote:Haha, yeah. Willy, goikiri, Nuggolesk etc are still part of this league. So the chances are still alive.
