Which Statline will he put up - SJJ Edition?
Stanley is a polarizing prospect. While some believe he's just a scoring version of Tristan Thompson, others think he's the reincarnation of Charles Barkley. Looking at him he could end up being a mixture of both. Johnson Jr. has all the tools to become a prolific scorer and one of the best rebounder in the league. However, being only 6-7 he's too small to be a true powerforward and his not existent shot makes it hard for him to play the three.
Nevertheless, the Tristan Thompson comparison might be more accurate, Stanley just doesnt have the game iq a guy like Charles had and his inability to stay on the court might also limit his numbers. He's just a rookie, but it seems he has to meet high expectations in Portland as their GM believes he will be a 20-8 guy right from the start. With that said, what do you believe will be his statline in his rookie season? And what will his FG% look like?

I went with 15 and 8 only because he will be hampered by his rookie endurance which won't allow him to truly dominate.

12/6 as a rookie, probably peaks at 18/10 a la real life Gerald Wallace.

I think 18 points - 8 rebounds is doable. I hope, I root for Portland

He will surely have every opportunity to play as many minutes as he can handle.

15 & 8. Endurance will be an issue but he'll get up 20 shots in his limited time to get his 15 points.

Yea, I think 15/8 is a fair guess with him being young and inexperienced, but only to go up from there.

I voted 18-8. He'll get all the shots he can handle but his %'s will be ugly. ROY candidate.

12 points 6 rebounds IMO. I think Portland will build a decent team to win games and not to the develop of the rookie.

Jon makes a good point about his stats being nerfed a little by rookie endurance, but I still think he'll put up ~18-9 as a rookie. I really like this kid.

Age has the biggest impact on initial endurance BTW.
Hence why Cliffy is 78 (18 in rookie year) and TJ is 90 (22 in rookie year).

I'd vote 15/6 but as there's none I'll go with 15/8

Had no idea - thought its just Dennis putting in some random numbers for endurance to make our life difficultJestor wrote:Age has the biggest impact on initial endurance BTW.

Depends, IMO if Portland has a good season he will be closer to 15-8. If they have a bad season then his numbers will likely be much higher in the 18-19 ppg range.
