Thunder acquire Garnett

Oklahoma City - The Thunder have acquired 15 x CSL All Star and World Champion Kevin Garnett for swingmen Caron Butler and Jeremy Lamb. Garnett will look to slide into the starting Center position in hopes of providing a defensive boost to their front court.

"It's definitely a win now move. I spoke to Kevin on the phone while the trade was being finalized and he was ecstatic about the opportunity, he wants to show that he's got a lot left in the tank and that's he ready to be that leader on the court, that enforcer that we need," Thunder GM "AK" said.

The Thunder lineup now bolsters three players with the name "Kevin." "It's going to be a bit confusing I'd imagine, but we'll get used to it, we'll probably call KG ol' yeller or something like that," Kevin Durant said jokingly.

Garnett will meet the Thunder in Philadelphia for tonight's game before they return home for a 3 game home stand against the Rockets, Clippers and Pelicans.

I think Garnett will be an upgrade and at least give you additional depth up front.

Pick up Kevin Martin to start at the two and you'd be set (I don't see you starting another Kevin over Rubio, lol).
