Longest time Bull parted ways with the team

Post by rh0xxy »

The Chicago Bulls press conference held earlier today, as they announced the deal that would send Justise Winslow, Udoka Azubuike, and Tim Williams to the New Knicks for Dragan Bender, Zach Collins, and David Michineau.

This will mark the end of the longest tenured Chicago player in Azubuike, who has been with the team since 2026. Udoka has been a revelation this season and having a career year in his 6 years in the league. He has been putting up double-double averages of 11.7 points and 10 rebounds on top of 1.7 blocks a game in 52 games this season. He has started all but 2 games for the Bulls this season and is a big part of the Bulls reawakening thus far.

Aside from his career high averages in points and rebounds, he is also one of the most efficient player in the league with his 10th best of 56.1% in the field. On defense, he is only allowing .89 PA/SF and almost a steal a game and he's doing his role magnificently.

Asked why the team entered this trade, GM rh0xxy has this to say...

"Well, honestly we have no intention of trading Azu in the first place. The deal was supposedly just between Bender and Winslow but we have to make salaries work so it expanded and GM Andrew put up a counter including Azu. We thought about it for a couple of days and eventually we have decided to do it.'

In return, the Bulls is getting a more flexible big man in Zach Collins, who can also plays the power forward position. Fair to say, Collins was also having a great season as well with his career best 13.7 points a game. He's also adding 7.1 boards and swatting 2.1 shots a game. But apparently, he only started 8 of the 43 games he played. So this could be a win-win situation for him as he's expected to fill in the starting C role for his new team.

Collins will come up big when the bulls need him. I loved his time at Philly, honestly.

My Kansas Kid, I remember drafting him. Had no idea he'd been CHI that long.
