2024 All Star Game Results

Post by The Simmer »

With the Dunk contest, 3 point shooting contest, and Rookie vs Sophomore game over, the stars showed off their skills with the main even in the All Star Game in Portland at the Moda Center.

The sub-matrix and strategies were set up as follows:

- Starters set to 28, Reserves set from 12-18 in the submatrix.
- Offensive Pace, OREB, DREB set to 10; Defensive Intensity, FCP, and Zone Defense set to 5 for both teams. Offensive Set was set to Standard.
- The Miami Heat represent the Eastern All Stars, Portland Trailblazers represents the Western All Stars.

Both teams started the game hot, exchanging basket for basket in the first quarter with DeAaron Fox leading the East to a 3 point lead at the end of 1. The West battled back in the second quarter behind big man and hometown favorite Nikola Mirotic's 14 points in the quarter to tie it up leading into the half. The third quarter started with up and coming star Jayson Tatum willing the West into the lead, but with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter the big man duo of Ben Simmons and Anthony Davis started abusing the front court of the West and dominated the game from there on out leading to the win for the East!

Congratulations to Ben Simmons of the Miami Heat for winning MVP of the 2024 All Star Game!

Myles Turner the only scoreless player short arming his shot in the All Star Game with his one chance to score, I wonder how bad the guys razzed him for that

Great game. Glad to see Blake get in a good contribution in what will probably be his last all-star game. Go East!

88 points in the paint for the East, huh?
They said All Star games was supposed to be a funny game with lots of threes...

AD and Simmons dominated the game.. That's just unfair.

Tatum tied for the leading scorer of the West and did so while matched up with Ben Simmons, and shot 8/13 from the floor with only 1 turnover. Hell of a game from him.

We would have done better overall if Porzingis hadn't been relegated to the bench by Ocons lack of voting. While Mirotic and Tatum performed well offensively, they were clearly overmatched as a defensive tandem.

Happy my team was represented by 2 players in this year's all star competition. Now we make a strong push to get a better seed for the playoffs!
