Lets take a look at Jordan Bell, after being traded from the Raptors to the Thunder,

Game 1 -18pts, 12rbs, 2a, 3stl, 1blk
Game 2 - 8pts, 8rbs, 6a, 3stl, 4blk
Game 3 - 14pts, 13rbs, 7a, 0stl, 1blk
Game 4 - 12pts, 9rbs, 4a, 0stl, 0blk
Game 5 - 9pts, 8rbs, 3a, 2stl, 0blk
Game 6 - 10pts, 15rb, 4a, 1stl, 1blk
Game 7 - 18 pts, 6rb, 3ast, 2stl, 1blk
Game 8 - 11pts, 10rb, 7ast, 2stl, 2blk
Game 9 - 18pts, 12rb, 3ast, 8stl, 2blk
Game 10 - 17pts, 8rb, 3ast, 1stl, 1blk

Total: 13.7ppg - 10.1rpg - 4.2apg - 2.4spg - 1.3bpg 44% shooting

So from the looks of it, Bell has been posting a stat line showing his all around game. Is he Draymond Green? No, but he is very close to being Draymond. Add the fact he is only 24 years young and on a rookie contract with more potential left, he will continue to get better.

Is he a valuable piece to a contender? You decide.

Leaving out the horrible shooting and the frequent turnovers. Seller Andrew at his best.

I'm still preference fixing him, that's why I left it out. Wouldn't be fair until he is fully fixed. But these are his numbers without the fixing. Imagine with it..

Nice try but this isn't going to work haha. I looked hard at Bell on the off-season and he has too many issues at this point.

I am sure you will find someone to give you a future pick for him eventually probably from the usual suspect franchises.

I do like Bell as a rotation player. The last time I said there's a sucker for every deal I got yelled at lol. So...um... I'll just say ditto to Cleasby lol.

What's not gonna work?

Just asking if GM's think he is a key piece to a championship level team. Curious for opinions

This

I was very high on him on draft time, but he didn't really develop and also his preference is almost where it should be imo.
Not sure if he will ever live up to the expectations. Solid big, but no game changer.

You don't think if he had talent around him, he wouldn't make an impact, with another 5lb loss and preference completely fixed?

Around more talent his shooting will get better a bit, but I doubt he will ever shoot close to 50%.
And there are quite a few big's available who can give you similar production.
Maybe its just the player right now compared what I expected ;-)

Bell is producing some good raw stats thus far, but I am curious about his advanced metrics.

Bump after 10 games. Let's talk trade. I fixed Bell to be a productive player on a championship team.

Total: 13.7ppg - 10.1rpg - 4.2apg - 2.4spg - 1.3bpg 44% shooting

I really like him, but those numbers are in a losing situation, where your best players are... CJ, Harkless, and Holiday? RHJ? None of them are players that will take shots away from Bell. So all things considered, you did well with Bell, but this isn't a dependable sample. I can see maybe the Clippers giving him a chance, maybe the Mavs might want to trade for a young piece to start their rebuild, but as of right now, there's no real need for Bell on a contender. Of course, I could always use the additional play making, but I'm not dishing out no picks for him.

I put those stats out, because for Bell, it's not about shots. He changes the game in every category possible in a winning situation. Good defense, assists, rebounds and he also puts up points. He's a key piece.

I am looking for a pick but the reason I'm mentioning his stats is because many contenders need a player like him. Its to remind them, if they wanna shell out a mid-late-first for a do-it-all player. Ask yourself this. Is a mid-late pick in an unknown draft worth a do it all PF?
