Jestor will once again make Las Vegas his offseason home
Eagle-eyed observers in north-central Wisconsin have spotted former Lakers and Blazers GM Jestor packing things up and preparing to head back to Las Vegas for his official offseason home. Reports say he's tired of the 2.5 years of being back in his native state and is returning to the warm weather in the desert.
It's also fueled speculation that he'll take the helm of a CSL vacancy. Said one source, "I could definitely see him with the Clippers - get reunited with Marvin Bagley, tear down the roster by letting everyone go into free agency, and just starting off fresh. I don't see him ever going out East - he has no interests there. Denver won't appeal to him, and Oklahoma is one of the few states he hates more than Nebraska."
Should he indeed also return to the City of Angels, he'd be going in with no scouting with the Clippers' lottery selection and would have to pick blind, but even that might be better than dooming the lesser LA team to the vagaries of receivership. "Personally, I hope he does take it," the source said. "He and Stockton12 have a great friendship and it'd be an entertaining rivalry where they'd have gos at each other on social media and could prop up the frankly ailing CSL media output."
Jestor failed to answer his phone when called and his voice mailbox was full. So it will have to remain a case of speculation for now...
