2030 Draft Lottery Central

Post by emplep7 »

Hi all,

We will be running the LIVE draft lottery Thursday (20Jul) around 3pm GMT.

There are a lot of tiebreakers to settle ahead of the lottery (the game does this the right way now and not by Team ID) so I am planning to still use the game (same as we did last year). As we get closer, I will post the link to the Live lottery drawing.

Good luck to all teams involved!

Also, just checked and I cant trade picks ahead of the lottery in the game based on the results of the tiebreakers so we will need to do this one like we have in the past. I will start posting all of the files shortly ahead of the live lottery drawing.

EDIT: I forgot that the game handles tiebreakers as it should now instead of the old DDS way of Team ID wins every time.

Does one Kings pick return to the Lakers because it's top 5?

Yeah, the #5 pick will return to the Lakers while the Kings get their unprotected pick next year. The NOP pick is the one that jumped to #3, and that was unprotected, so the Kings will get that one.

This is probably not a great draft to have the #1 pick but a great one to have a top 5 choice. Congrats on all the winners!!

Yeah, Sacramento in great shape. No surprise there :-)
Good break for Doug too, which will bring back Portland back in the picture much faster.

And another chance for Willy to do a rebuild around young players. Great lottery for Orlando.

We will need some more luck for the Hawks on draft day and hope 2 players we like are still on the board when we pick.

Horrible seeing SAC get a top pick. With MIA and Philly in their late 20's and OKC/POR/MEM/HOU/SAS/DAL rising the west could pass(and start dominating) the east real soon.
