OneNole wrote:Lets keep our eyes on the real issue here, the HC rule. Make CSL great again. A rule where you only lose 1 first each year and can not make any trades that put you in a position to be over the HC for that season. We can call it the common sense approach rule.
There's no Hard Cap in NBA but they're dealing with extremely huge taxes. We're not, we're dealing with nothing but fictional money.
Also they have the so called Apron that limits teams just like a Hard Cap.
Our intent is for every team to ABSOLUTELY NOT breach into the Hard Cap. The penalties will be as extreme as they could ever be, as the penalties for spending until 90M are considered brand, and we don't want any of you taking advantage of that extra money.

The rule is logical the way it is. It's simple. It's not a Soft Cap. It's a Hard Cap. It's not made to be breach and then you lose a late first. Don't breach it. Easy money right there. This won't be discussed.

I can personally say I've been dealing with financial trouble for like 4 seasons and it's perfectly possible for a team to stay under the Hard Cap and be extremely competitive. Do your best with that in mind, and be grateful that we'd even allow teams to go 90M+, because the correct rule would be to block any move that puts you over the Hard Cap somehow, but that's very hard to keep track of.
Conveniently making the rule change after you win the title and are set to rebuild? Nice.
This complaint would only apply if Marcos had gone over the hc at some point in the past, but he hasn't. Try again.

I agree with both Kyrus and Marcos here. We're not using real money, so no team should ever be allowed to go over the Hard Cap (only to fill a 12-player roster with minimum contracts if needed).

My only little complaint is that the there should have been a few days between releasing the new CBA and starting the offseason.

Thanks for the update boys - make sense to me.
I was one of the few defending harder penalties after HC (despite being close to it) and that no one should be passing it.

Agreed. Ideally we laid this out as soon as the Post-Season was over, but that was out fault. We'll be more timely in the future.

Not yet. Yet
We're developing a lil bit more of "general rules" stuff for post FA.

It was discussed somewhere recently but can't find in forum or CBA:

How are we dealing with players waived now during FA? Can we offer already?

Yes. TOs become guaranteed money if you don't drop them right after the draft.

They don't show up in game until after the FA period

If you want a player that is missing from FA due to being cut, please send a note to the admin team who you want and a thread will be opened on that player to allow open bidding. The player will be signed to the contract at the end of FA.

A 48 hr clock is really easy to forget or miss especially if the offer sheet happened on an early sim.

Any harm in doing the later of 48 hrs and 2 sims for next season?

Just do not wait to match. Do it as soon as you see it.
I don't know why people wait so much to match. Free up other team's CAP space and let them price drive other FAs like they did with your player.

I set an alarm last year for Tavares to make sure I wouldn't forget. Not sure why that's difficult to do, especially now a days where internet access is everywhere.
FINALLY a logical HC Rule our work is done

...... because it's the only way to screw with the team that just screwed you. That seems pretty straight forward, no?

Pretty much.

I like Andrei but he then has to wait the maximum time for his cap to become available. I made the mistake though with the deadline (didn't read the CBA and thought it was the email in game 3 days) so it's my mistake.

Although, like Jeremy Lin, we should have not opted to match anyway but thought we would and then just seek a trade. We made the mistake but either way it works out as we now have more money for next off season with McConnell and Thompson versus probably having to trade them.
